A proof of payment is created by the sender of a private transfer. It shows who received that one payment and how much, checked against the chain. It reveals nothing else, and it cannot be used to move the funds.
Checked against the chain
The note in the link must match the one the transaction created, for this recipient's registered key.

Not the sender, not their balance, not their other payments. No wallet needed.
